Adoption
The adoption process takes place in 3 steps in order to best support the new owner, the breeding and the kitten of course.
1-Visiting the cattery and reserving the kitten
In order to ensure a perfect understanding between the buyer and the breeder but also between the new owner and the cat, an appointment is mandatory. There must be an agreement between your expectations and the character of the kitten. It is just as important for you to visit the breeding conditions, the parents, and to see the kitten, as it is for us to be able to discuss your plans with you face to face.
The reservation can take place after a reflection phase and means that this kitten will be destined for you! So once the reservation contract is signed, and the deposit is paid (50% of the final price), you commit to buying the animal and if you wish to withdraw, you will not have the refund of the deposit!
2-Signing a deal and taking the kitten to its new home!
After signing the reservation contract, the sales contract must be signed and the remainder of the final price is paid. The date for picking up the kitten will be specified in the contract, and from that date onwards, you will assume full responsibility for the kitten (theft, loss, accident, illness, death).
At the second appointment to pick up the kitten, you will sign the final purchase contract and can then take it to its new home! The sterilization is therefore included in the final price since you are buying a cat intended as a 'companion cat' and not for breeding. In the case of a sale for breeding/exhibition, the acquisition price will be higher.
Moreover, you may only pick up the kitten once the sterilization procedure has been properly completed!IF you live too far away or cannot make the entire trip, we can arrange the journey, but a financial compensation will be required.
You will need to equip yourself with a carrier for the cat, and at home your new companion will need a cat tree, a litter box and many others...
The kitten will leave with the following documents: health record, identification certificate by electronic insert (chip), mandatory veterinary certificate, the accompanying booklet for advice, toys and many more.
If the pedigree is in the process of being created, it will be sent to you at a later date. The same goes for the ICAD.
Basic rules:
There are essentials for your kittens: food, litter, cat tree, scratching posts and toys but also and above all a cage/transport bag
Your kitten is a full member of your family, remember that this is a commitment: they can live if you give them all the love they need until they are 20 years old!
